Book Review: Gone Girl

Gone GirlLike many individuals, if I hear raving reviews about a book, I don’t rebel against the wave of recommendations, I ride with it. Twilight, Harry Potter, 50 Shades of Grey (although I didn’t make it to the finish, I couldn’t understand the hoo-haa), and now, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, a thriller that has you guessing until the end.

It took a while before I got my hands on a decent book, everything seemed tasteless these past few months and I’m sure it was just my mood; exhausted after chasing a half crawling, half slithering offspring all day. But, Gone Girl got me back into the frame of mind where reading was a pleasure not a chore.

It didn’t snatch my interest immediately but the characters were intriguing and had me guessing and thinking and scraping hard for clues. If you are like me, and need a bit of pass-time material, Gone Girl is a good thriller with a wickedly naughty twist smack-bang in the middle. Let me know your thoughts!.
