I tuned into the radio station as I usually do each morning and was utterly shocked to hear that we had an Australian Female Cricket team. I couldn’t believe it, a female cricket team? All these years! How did I not know about this? I feel confident saying that as far as cricket is concerned, I have been living under a nice sheltered cricket-free rock for my entire life and aside from the odd affairs, I keep far away from sports that take longer than a couple of hours to finish.
It turns out these ladies have been competing internationally since 1934 when they played their first game against England and if I have my facts straight, they’re number one in the world, even beating their male counterparts by two World Cup victories. I found this interesting and thought I would share it with you. Go Girls!
